Find a job thru a ‘consequential stranger’

For those who didn’t catch this fascinating conversation, NPR’s Talk of the Nation Monday discussed people who can have a significant influence on your life … but you don’t know their names and may only encounter them once.

It got me thinking about how a chance acquaintance could be a job lead — or at least help readjust our mindsets about non-traditional networking for some of us shy and retiring types that break out into a cold sweat before entering a room full of strangers.
